Jasmine green tea is one of the best-known flavored teas.
Green tea, harvested in the spring, is mixed with fresh jasmine flowers harvested in late summer. By letting them dry together, the tea soaks up the scent of jasmine.
Once dried, the jasmine flowers are then gently removed to leave only this tea with such a seductive fragrance…

Jasmine green tea (Origin: China)
Tea is one of the strongest and most widely used antioxidants in the world. Tea contains significant amounts of polyphenols, organic compounds that help the body to fight cell destruction.
As an antioxidant, it helps reduce cardiovascular risk, boost energy, reduce fat absorption and sometimes reduce stress.
Since green tea is not fermented, it will retain most of the antioxidants found in the leaves. Jasmine will help reduce stress by stimulating receptors of the umami (the fifth taste after sweetness, sourness, bitterness, and saltiness).
How to prepare it
Hot drink : Let it brew for 2 minutes in 75 ° C water.
Be careful, green tea should not be brewed in boiling water, or for too long, otherwise it will lose all its flavor and become bitter. A temperature of 75 ° C and 2 minutes of infusion are recommended.
